Fund Mergers
Fund mergers are probably the most complex investment product changes. Not only are all the various functions involved, but also the different characteristics of two or more funds.
And there is also the added complexity of getting the buy-in (and vote) of the existing investors in the funds.
We have managed a number of different fund mergers, including multi-year projects involving a range of funds.
We will use our 2 phase approach (see below) to engage with the relevant functions create a comprehensive merger plan which will include the client communication, voting and EGM functions as well as the “standard” functions. We can also help implement the plan if required.
Phased Approach
- Phase 1 starts with our upfront “Check-up”, aiming to engage with all the relevant functions and establish requirements, output and timings.
- In Phase 2 we take this information and create a comprehensive customised merger plan which, if required, we can help to implement as well.
